Soccer Wednesday - Miller Picks FIFA Women’s World Cup, Nigeria v Korea Republic, Germany v Spain, France v Norway

Yikes!

After the maelstrom Tuesday that was caused by the 13-0 win by the Americans over Thailand, the second group stage matches at the 2019 Women's World Cup start Wednesday.

There are definite strata to the teams at this World Cup, as was shown by the second half display yesterday, when the USA scored 10 goals. If you look at the odds prior to the matches, you can tell when the five or six top level teams are playing teams from that next level down, the level below that, and like the USA Thailand match (which saw the USA as -10000 favorites), the level below that.

It is much the same as the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers: there are the big fish, and there are minnows.

The problem betting those games sometimes is, you have to be able to find the right bet to get value. But it is there. Yesterday, the total goals for the USA match over 5.5 was -120.

Wednesday, there are three matches, and with very good value on two of the games, and the third as well if you search.

The Korea Republic is a -103 favorite against Nigeria in a must-win match for both in Group A action, while France will take on expected group runner-up Norway with a chance to lock up the group.

In Group B play, Germany is -103 to beat Spain, in what should be the group deciding match.
