While most of the bigger European leagues will end this weekend, the football will always go on somewhere, like an Endless Summer of Soccer.

Friday, there are some playoff spots to decide in France’s second division, and the race is very tight heading into the final day.

Paris FC and Racing Club Lens are in the pole positions, in fourth and fifth respectively, and both have home matches to seal their places in the promotion playoffs. Lorient is tied on points with Lens, but has a tough road match with Le Havre.

Lens will take on Orleans, and there is no Joan of Arc to save Orleans from a potential battering.

Lens beat Orleans 2-0 on the road in January, and with this a must-win contest, expect at least the same here.

Paris FC and Ajaccio have drawn the last three times they have played, which may be one of the reasons for the good odds you can get on Paris. Take them and run.

The Portuguese season will end this weekend, which gets started Friday with a solid Sporting Braga team playing at home. Braga is unbeaten against Portimonense dating back a decade, with six wins and two draw. One of the draw came in January, though, 1-1 at Portimonense.

Braga has UEFA Europa qualification locked up, but will want to end the season on a high note.
