Soccer: Miller picks 1 from the Premier League - Watford vs. Arsenal, and 1 from Serie A - Atalanta vs. Empoli

Going back to January 12, Arsenal is 1-5-1 on its travels

The UEFA Champions League top four races in both England and Italy area enthralling, and should go down to the final day.

The Premier League table still shows four teams for two spots, with Tottenham (third, 67 points, 33 matches played), Chelsea (fourth, 66 points, 34 matches played), Manchester United (fifth, 64 points, 33 matches played) and Arsenal (sixth, 63 points, 32 matches played) all with a chance to find themselves in the lucrative top four spots.

Arsenal will get a chance Monday to jump into fourth with a win over Watford, but the Gunners will have to go on the road to do that, something they have been terrible at of late.

Going back to January 12, Arsenal is 1-5-1 on its travels, with the lone win over relegated Huddersfield Town. I watched the Gunners live last Sunday at Everton in a 1-0 loss, and they were awful.

Watford is still buzzing from its extra time win at Wembley last weekend to advance to the 2019 F.A. Cup final, and have won four of six, white two losses to the two Manchester clubs.

The Hornets also play well against Arsenal: the Gunners have gone just 5-4 over the last nine matches. This is a tough match for Arsenal.

In Italy, Atalanta can jump over Roma and Milan in the Serie A table with a home win Monday over relegation-threatened Empoli. Atalanta is unbeaten in seven (with three draws), and is 3-1-1 in its last five against Empoli, although the lone loss came in November 3-2.

Expect Atalanta to take advantage of its opportunity here, and set up bigger matches in the next month.
