Soccer: Miller focuses on one Premier League match – Leicester City v Newcastle United

There is a light slate Friday, but there is one Premier League match that is worth watching.

Leicester City is one of the form teams in the league since the arrival of head coach Brendan Rodgers from Celtic. The Foxes are making a late push into a possible UEFA Europa League seventh place spot, and host Newcastle United here.

The Magpies are all but safe, with 35 points, seven clear of 18th place Cardiff City. A win in any of Newcastle’s last five matches this season will most certainly lock up another season in the top flight, after a few months of worry.

But this is not the spot: Newcastle has lost six of seven to Leicester since 2015, including a 2-0 loss in the reverse fixture in late September. The Foxes also come in as winners of four in a row, and five of six, while Newcastle has just one win from five.

All signs point to a Leicester win.
