Here are 4 of the best NHL player props to add to your bet slip for tonight’s slate.
Player Prop Odds: +110
This one’s pretty straightforward and with the odds, we like it even more.
MacKinnon has scored in 6 straight home games against the Flames and tonight won’t be any different. Calgary has been shaky defensively all season and enters tonight giving up 3.32 goals per game which is 5th worst in the league. They're also ranked 26th in PK efficiency at 74.8%, and with MacKinnon anchoring the top power-play unit, he’s in a great spot to find the net again.
MacKinnon has 79 assists and 109 points on the season which puts him in the top slot in the NHL for points, but don’t let the playmaking distract you from his ability to finish plays and light the lamp.
He’s had a goal in 3 of his last 4 games, and he’s averaging 4.5+ shots on goal at home this season. Not only that, he averages almost 23 minutes TOI which means he’ll undoubtedly get the chances.
At +110, this is a solid value for one of the most dangerous players in the game.
Player Prop Odds: +160
Granlund doesn’t get a ton of hype like some of the rest, but this is a nice plus-money prop that’s been quietly cashing and cashing a lot.
He’s picked up at least one assist in each of his last 6 games against Seattle. That’s a clean 6-for-6 trend against a Kraken team that’s in the bottom 10 for scoring defense and allows 30+ SOG per game.
The Stars are clicking offensively and they’re one of the best teams in the NHL. They’re ranking 4th in goals per game with 3.41 and 3rd in total points.
Sure, Granlund plays a secondary role, but he’s shown some really good chemistry with guys like Wyatt Johnston and Thomas Harley, who’ve been producing lately. With Dallas pushing the pace offensively, Granlund only needs one clean setup to cash this and it just might happen on a power play. Take this +160 to the bank.
Player Prop Odds: +145
Michkov is heating up. The rookie has 5 assists in his last 5 games, and he’s now getting steady minutes on the Flyers' top-6 and the top power-play unit. His puck movement and playmaking have stood out lately, and we think that this matchup suits him.
The Preds are dead last in goals scored with 2.52 and often get hemmed up in their zone, especially on the road. They’re not much better with GA/G at 3.22 which is 23rd in the league. Philadelphia has quietly climbed to 13th in shots per game, giving Michkov plenty of chances to rack up assists off rebounds or deflections.
Getting +145 on a player who’s hit this in 80% of his recent games and is getting power-play looks? That’s a solid bet you won’t want to pass up.
Player Prop Odds: -154
You’ll have to lay some juice here, but the hit rate makes it worth it. After all, we do appreciate some safer bets when we’re making prop bets.
Bratt has recorded an assist in each of the last 4 games he’s played against Minnesota. On top of that, he also has at least one point in 8 of his last 10 games overall and 6 assists in his last 5 games. He remains one of the most consistent playmakers on the Devils which is why we like this safe bet.
Minnesota’s defense has fallen off a cliff lately. They’ve allowed 4+ goals in 3 of their last 4 games. Bratt plays alongside Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier on the top line and top power play, and he’s up to 66 assists this season, which ranks 4th in the league only behind the likes of MacKinnon, Kucherov, and Marner.
If you’re looking for a more reliable option to anchor a parlay or play solo, Bratt to log a helper is a high-floor pick that simply makes sense.
Player Prop Odds: +2500
We saw this bet and just had to dig in a little. While it’s quite a dark horse, it’s one we think could be fun to win. Of course, we don’t always drop long shots like this, but it’s worth a single unit.
Gaudreau has opened the scoring in 2 of the Wild’s last 5 games, and he gets a Devils team that has been giving up quite a few goals over the past few games. New Jersey has been especially shaky in the first periods, giving up early goals in 4 straight.
At +2500, you don’t need a high hit rate to justify the sprinkle on this one. If you’re looking for a small-stake, high-reward angle, this is it.
