Tonight’s NHL schedule might not have too much going on given that it only features four matchups, despite this, there are some strong player prop bets to check out. This could be your chance to cash in.

With recent player performances and trends in mind, here are 4 of the best NHL player prop picks worth loading onto your bet slip.

Cole Caufield Anytime Goal

  • Player Prop Odds: +155

Cole Caufield has been in great scoring form as of late. He’s found the back of the net in 5 of his last 6 games.

The Montreal winger leads the Canadiens with 32 goals this season which puts him 8th overall in the NHL, and he’s fresh off a 2-point game against Vancouver, where he had a goal and an assist. He’s definitely not slowing down.

The matchup against the Kraken is favorable as well, as Seattle has struggled defensively. As one of the worst teams in the NHL, they’ve allowed 3.20 goals per game this season.

Caufield is also a volume shooter, averaging well over 3 shots per game, meaning he’ll have plenty of chances to cash this bet.

At +155 odds, we can’t say we’re too upset with that. There’s great value in backing him to score.

Lucas Raymond Over 0.5 Assists

  • Player Prop Odds: -110

Lucas Raymond has been a consistent playmaker for the Red Wings — especially against the Sabres.

He has notched at least 1 assist in 7 of his last 8 games against Buffalo and already has 3 against them this season. This makes this prop one of the strongest trends on the board and we simply can’t pass that up.

He’s also Detroit’s leading assist man with 44 on the season, and he has picked up an assist in his last 2 games.

Buffalo’s defense has been leaky, ranking 30th in goals against per game at 3.48 which will give Raymond a strong chance to add another helper to his stat sheet.

Frank Vatrano Under 2.5 Shots on Goal

  • Player Prop Odds: +100

Frank Vatrano has been under 2.5 shots in 3 of his last 4 games, and this trend should continue against the Utah Hockey Club. His season average of 3.13 shots per game is slightly above the line, but his recent dip in attempts is a concern that we want to take advantage of. We just don’t see him pulling out of this slump against Utah.

The Utah Hockey Club plays a defensive, slower-paced style which limits opponents’ shot volume. They protect the slot well and get in front for plenty of blocks.

Vatrano has also seen a slight decrease in ice time after he was moved to the 3rd line, which would further impact his shot totals.

With the under sitting at even odds, this is a strong value bet that has the potential to cash big.

Brock Boeser Under 0.5 Points

  • Player Prop Odds: +120

Brock Boeser has hit a cold stretch lately as he’s recorded just 3 points in his last 9 games. His production has dipped quite a bit despite playing on Vancouver’s top line, and he’s been held off the scoresheet in 4 straight games. While he typically has the ability to set up a play or find the back of the net, he hasn’t been so hot over the last couple of weeks.

On top of that, the Flames have been solid defensively at home, giving up just 2.8 GA/G at the Scotiabank Saddledome and they sit in the upper half of teams in GA/G.

If Boeser continues to struggle offensively, which we think he will, this under at +120 odds presents some serious value.
