Bet Friday NHL: Peterson picks Sand Jose Sharks vs Minnesota Wild, Los Angeles Kings vs Colorado Avalanche
San Jose Sharks (+157) @ Minnesota Wild (-195), 8 pm EDT
On Friday night, the Minnesota Wild will play host to the San Jose Sharks. Minnesota is fresh off of a dominant 5-2 victory over Arizona on Wednesday, whereas San Jose has lost two in a row. Although the Sharks defeated the Wild twice at the end of March in California, the Wild have been on fire at home this season and the Sharks have looked suspect lately dropping games against the struggling Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings. Take Minnesota on the Moneyline and consider investing in the over 5.5 here as well considering both Minnesota and San Jose have gone over 5.5 total in six of their past ten games including the four most recent meetings between these clubs.
PICK: Minnesota Wild Moneyline (-195), Over 5.5 (-107)
Los Angeles Kings (+278) @ Colorado Avalanche (-360), 9 pm EDT
Now favored to win the Stanley Cup and rightfully so, the Colorado Avalanche are 13-2 in their last fifteen games overall. With a staggering +56 goal differential this season, it will take a Herculean effort from the struggling Los Angeles Kings Friday night to slow down the freight train that is Colorado. The Kings are 16-19-6 overall and are well out of the playoff picture at this point sitting in seventh place in the West. Colorado defeated Los Angeles soundly twice in March by two plus goals each time. Take Colorado on the Puck Line here and play it with confidence as the Avalanche should win by a landslide.
PICK: Colorado Avalanche -1.5 (-111)
