Sunday NHL: Peterson picks Arizona Coyotes vs Las Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche vs Anaheim Ducks

The Las Vegas Golden Knights defeated a solid Arizona Coyotes club Friday night, 7-4 following a humbling 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues last time out. Arguably one of the most promising teams in the league overall, Vegas finds themselves stuck in a bit of a rut going 5-5 in their last ten. On Sunday, the Golden Knights will try to defeat Arizona for the second time in as many days.

The Coyotes are 6-4 in their last ten games and are a handful for anyone. They have been great to the over 5.5, going 8-2 in their last ten. Vegas is 5-5 to the over in their last ten. Although another eleven goals is highly unlikely, the over should hit here once again as both teams average three plus goals per game and have no problem finding the back of the net.

Following a surprisingly lopsided 8-3 defeat to the Minnesota Wild last week, the Colorado Avalanche bounced back and returned to form Friday night with a 2-0 victory over the pesky Anaheim Ducks. Colorado is 7-3 in their last ten games and will look to feast on a vulnerable Ducks club that is 3-7 in their last ten. The Avalanche are averaging four goals per game while the Ducks are averaging just over two. Rarely is Colorado held to two goals in a game, and considering they lead the league in goals (142)- expect the Avalanche to breakthrough a stingy Anaheim barrier here and open the floodgates.
