Bet Wednesday NHL props: Boop picks the Rangers to win the 2nd period and the Bruins to win the 3rd period

These two meet for the first time this season and their scoring tendencies are different enough to let us indulge in both teams for different periods.

The Rangers, despite having been shut out for the second time this season by the Islanders on Monday, have scored 14 second-period goals in 11 games. That’s exactly half of the 28 they have pushed across in regulation. And they have lost only three second stanzas all season, none in their last five.

The Bruins have been all about the Final 20 lately, with 18 tallies in their last eight third periods and 10 (2-4-2-2) over their last four. And they are 4-0-1 in their last five 3Ps.

So, we will go with the Rangers and Over for the second period and the Bruins (in a three-way bet, so we would lose if they draw) and an Over for the third.
