Wednesday NHL prop bets: Boop looks at Bruins vs Flyers and games out some scoring plays

Where and when to watch: Bruins vs Flyers, 8 pm ET on NBCSN

BRUINS at FLYERS, 8 p.m. (NBCSN)

After scoring two and three goals in the opening periods of their first two games of the season, respectively, the Flyers sent on a four-game stretch of coming up empty in the first 20 minutes. The last two of those meetings were against Wednesday’s opponent, the Bruins.

But since then, the Fly Guys have scored in four consecutive opening stanzas (and allowed but a single goal in those periods along the way).

Boston has allowed first-period goals in three straight after allowing just one in their first six opening sets of the season.

We are going to take the Flyers Over 0.5 Goals in the first period, but skip them to win the period. (You can make your own call on that.)

Both teams have been in high-scoring tilts recently. The last six Boston games have averaged 6.8 goals per game and the last six Flyers tilts 6.6. That includes their two previous meetings, which resulted in nine and seven goals. So, we’re going with three Alt Overs in this one.

DraftKings provides one-stop shopping for all these wagers.
