The last time the Flyers played at home, Claude Giroux ended a 10-game Wells Fargo Center scoreless drought in a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers. Tuesday, they start a home-and-home – the Orange and Black host first – with the team directly above them in the Metropolitan Division standings.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are second in the league in fewest goals allowed (147), but have allowed three, three and four in their last three road games.
It says here the Flyers ring the bell thrice Tuesday also, and Giroux gets one of them.

>>> The great Ed Barkowitz, in his Tuesday morning newsletter for the Philadelphia Daily News, passed along a great PropBet tidbit he found on Twitter:
“The under in the first period has hit in 17 of Columbus’ 20 games since the first of the year.”
He does go on to point out that the Flyers have been over in each of their last five first periods . . . but all that does is reduce our bet, not talk us out of it.
See kids, it does pay to read.
