NHL Monday: Dietel on Game 1 of Blues v Bruins

We’ve seen a trend throughout the playoffs this year and it’s been that the team with the longer layover between series tends to drop Game 1.

The Bruins swept the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final and have had a week and a half to rest before the Finals opener. The Blues played a great series against the Sharks that went six games. They are still in battle mode as the series ended last week. They are 7-2 on the road in the postseason thus far and while they probably won’t head back to the Mississippi up 2-0, they can steal an early one in Boston.

They are foaming at the mouth for their first chance at the Cup in 50 years so we think they will come out of the gate strong.

And who doesn’t love a good road price on a Holiday Monday.
