NHL: Wednesday’s matchup with Boston is a tough one for Flyers

Tonight’s game between two fan favorite franchises pits Boston against Philadelphia. One of these teams is in the playoff hunt and the other is in the Jack Hughes hunt. The Bruins have gone 7-3-1 in their last 11 and have beaten some pretty impressive teams in that stretch, namely Toronto, Calgary, Buffalo, and Nashville. They are no joke especially with their top line back in tact of F David Pastrnak, F Brad Marchand, and F Patrice Bergeron, which is debatably the best line in all of the NHL. Boston is capable of putting up goals in bunches, especially against basement dwelling teams like the Flyers. They are also coming off of a Monday Night Rivalry loss against the Habs so look for them to come out guns blazing tonight.

The Flyers are a funny team this year. They definitely show flashes of the offensive prowess that is littered throughout their forward core. Heck, F Nolan Patrick had one of the most insane between the legs goals we’ve seen all season. Sometimes however, their offense just neglects to show up. Also worth noting is that they traded F Jordan Weal (3 goals - 6 assists) to the Coyotes earlier this week for minor league defenseman Jacob Graves (7 points in the ECHL this season) and a 6th round pick in the 2019 draft. All in all, the Flyers have been a sloppy team this season, losing games left and right. We think the Bruins are going to dominate them.
