What a wildcard weekend we just had. Outside of last night’s Patriots/Chargers matchup, I don’t think I've seen a slate of more games coming down to the final two minutes. This weekend was truly a great time to be a fan of NFL football.
Thankfully, regardless of whether I was at home or not, I was able to watch all the games right on the Bet365 app, since I played some of the pre-built Same-Game Parlays on each game. That isn’t going anywhere tonight. I’ve got two of my favorite pre-built SGPs for tonight’s Texans/Steelers matchup that are currently live on Bet365.
If you don’t like our pick or any of the others on there, you can create your own SGP for a 50% profit boost, and new customers who bet $5 get $200 in bonus bets. If you’re not signed up, click the link below to get started.
Aaron Rodgers (PIT) 225+ Pass Yards and 2+ TDs
CJ Stroud (HOU) 225+ Pass Yards and 2+ TDs
Without going back and looking at it, I could swear I wrote a post early on in the season about how bad the Texans were. Well, way to make me eat my words, Houston. This defense is electric, and CJ Stroud seems to have finally started to figure things out in year 3. DeMeco Ryans has this squad riding high, and they’ll need it as they head to Pittsburgh.
The Steelers are coming off a missed field goal victory over the Ravens that ultimately got Jim Harbaugh booted out of Baltimore. Questionable decision, but we’ll save that for another day. Aaron Rodgers has shown all season that even though he’s a 42-year-old, mushroom-enlightened QB, the man can still sling the football.
Tonight, he gets his main target, DK Metcalf, back from the two-game suspension. Even though this Houston defense is tough, I have watched Rodgers carve good defenses for years. DK opens the field up for this Pittsburgh offense, and if Rodgers can manage 16 points against Baltimore without DK, he should get at least 2 TDs tonight.
The same goes for Stroud. Nico Collins has been an absolute monster this season, and Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t the same caliber as Houston's. The QB advantage is definitely to Pittsburgh, but given how we’ve seen all but one of the Wild Card games play out so far, I think all of these can hit with ease.
Woody Marks (HOU) 50+ Rush Yards
Jaylen Warren (PIT) 50+ Rush Yards
Kenneth Gainwell (PIT) 50+ Rush Yards
We showed some love to the pass game with our earlier pick, so let’s give some love to the ground game. I’m going to be as blunt as possible with this one. This parlay, to me, will come down to Kenneth Gainwell. Warren and Marks routinely hit this number.
Gainwell is the X Factor, especially against this Houston defense that doesn’t allow a ton of yards on the ground. What I do like is that Pittsburgh can and likely will rotate Warren and Gainwell, which could cause some matchup problems for the defense.
Gainwell has only hit this total twice in the last five games, and if you were to play him just to hit 50 yards on Bet365, he’s +375 while the other two are -115 and -140. So again, this parlay will come down to Gainwell, but considering all the totals on receiving yards, receptions, and the anytime TD plays, I like this one more than the rest.
