Baker Mayfield and the Bucs look to get back in the win column with another solid offensive performance, while Tank Dell is the wideout to watch for Houston this week against a struggling Jaguars defense.
With the Bucs staff wanting Mayfield to push the ball downfield to Mike Evans in this game, we are on “over alert” for his passing yard total.
Outside of the rough game against Denver, Mayfield has played exceptional football to start the year, scoring 6 total TDs to just 1 interception through the first two games.
Expect this week against Philly to be a bounce-back game against a defense that just played incredibly against the Saints but might struggle to maintain that great play against a team with so many weapons on the outside. Look for Jalen McMillan, the rookie out of Washington, to produce a few big plays against a smaller Eagles secondary.
Darnold is off to an incredible start - Minnesota is 3-0 while he has thrown for 8 touchdowns and just two interceptions as the career rejuvenation is underway. On the other side of the football, there might not be a hotter defense than the Green Bay Packers at the moment.
GB had 7 picks all of last season. Through 3 weeks of the 2024 campaign, they have 7 picks and 2 FF/FR. This defense is getting pressure at the line of scrimmage and also in the secondary where they are making QBs pay for throwing deep.
As Darnold looks Jefferson and Jalen Nailor’s way in the red zone and on 1v1 deep opportunities, look for a safety to make a huge play for Green Bay and pick Darnold off once more.
With the Jaguars' defense coming off a stunning stomping at the hands of Buffalo, traveling to Houston to face the Texans' offense seems like the last thing they want to do.
Tank Dell has a chance to lead his team in yards for the first time this season as that deep ball threat for C.J. Stroud. Dell came alive against Jacksonville in Week 3 of last season with 145 yards and a long score.
With Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs digging in their cleats on offense, there will be a handful of plays where Tank is 1v1 against a slower Jags defender. Look for Stroud to find him in stride for a long gain and potential score.
The Steelers' defense has been incredible throughout the first three weeks of the season, allowing just 26 points while securing 9 sacks and 4 interceptions behind the play of T.J. Watt, Joey Porter, and the unstoppable scheme they have in place.
With Anthony Richardson coming off a win, yet probably his worst game as a pro thus far, we believe Pittsburgh will give AR15 issues in the pocket therefore forcing him to run and go for checkdowns - something he isn’t quite comfortable with yet.
AR has thrown 6 picks through 3 games so expect the Colts coaching staff to implore him to hand it to JT or tuck it and run it more than often.
