Happy Friday everyone! There is a lot to be excited about tonight, as well as this weekend. Not only is the MLB season starting to wind down with less than two months to go, but the NFL’s preseason is in full swing as well.
We saw two preseason matchups go down last night, both of which featured some impressive, standout performances from a few players. Who will shine tonight, and the rest of the weekend? We’ll have to tune in to find out.
To make the games more interesting, we’ve put together our favorite player props from tonight’s action, all are on Underdog. We went 1 for 3 in our callouts yesterday, but today is a new day. Let’s get into it and sweep the board!

In a somewhat surprising move, the Miami Dolphins used a fourth-round pick on Jaylen Wright in this year’s NFL Draft. Taking a running back in the fourth isn’t the surprising part, but the team was seemingly set at the position with Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane.
However, Wright comes to the NFL in high regard, and he could be a sneakily good depth piece for this team. He should have a decent role in tonight’s game, helping put himself on the map, which is why he is our only over bet of the evening.
Running backs tend to get some run in the preseason, and a player like Wright should make the most out of this opportunity.
We’re not exactly sure what happened to Dameon Pierce. He looked great in his rookie season but took a massive step backward in his sophomore campaign.
Now that Joe Mixon is in Houston, it’s hard to believe he’ll have any semblance of a role moving forward. With that in mind, the Texans will likely want to give their unproven players some chances tonight, leaving little room for Pierce to have an impact.
We’re taking the under on his rushing and receiving line, believing he will be a non-factor.
To be honest, we had to do a double-take when we realized that John Ross was still in the league. Ross lit the world on fire with his Combine performance but has otherwise struggled to make it in the NFL.
He might have the speed, but the rest of his game has proven to be a tough fit. With his previous performances in mind, even though it’s the preseason, we’re fading Ross in this spot.
