We hope you’re ready because there is NFL football on tonight! Sure, it’s the preseason, but if you’re as big of an NFL fan as we are, any football is good football.
There are two games taking place tonight, one between the Detroit Lions and New York Giants, the other, between the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots.

We don’t necessarily believe we’ll see any meaningful minutes from regular season starters in either game, but this is a fantastic opportunity for us to get a glimpse at some of the lesser-known guys, hoping they can make the most of the preseason.
Because football is happening, we had to put our favorite player props together for this matchup, as we did for the Hall of Fame Game last week. You might call us crazy for betting on the preseason, but it makes the game a lot more interesting!
With that in mind, here are our favorite props from tonight’s action, all of which are found on Underdog.
Yes, we’re taking a prop for a Patriots QB not named Drake Maye. Joe Milton has been lighting it up in training camp, and team reporters have indicated that he has played much better than expected to this point.
Both Maye and Milton are rookies, and while Maye has the first-round draft capital, if the Patriots like what they see from Milton, they could give him more chances in the future.
We don’t necessarily think Milton will light the world on fire tonight, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he threw for at least 75 yards, which could crush the over on his line.
If Franks’ name sounds familiar, it might be because he was drafted into the NFL as a quarterback. He didn’t have much luck on the Atlanta Falcons at his primary position and has now joined the Panthers, trying to make it as a tight end.
We don’t have a lot of confidence in Franks to have success at a brand-new position, even in the preseason. He might get some playing time tonight, but he’s unlikely to achieve 13 yards, which is why we’re taking the under here.
It’s tough to know how Hendon Hooker will perform in the NFL. He was an electric athlete in college before his injury, and it’s unknown how he will hold up in the league.
However, we really liked what we saw out of Hooker coming out, and with an opportunity to lead the Lions in the preseason, we like his odds of making the most of it.
We’re hoping for the best for Hooker tonight, and are taking the over on his passing yards line!
