Mims' Monday Night Football Picks: Eagles vs Chiefs, Travis Kelce and AJ Brown prop bets, over/under, spread

The Philadelphia Eagles  play the Kansas City Chiefs  tonight on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs are favored by 2.5 and the total is 45.5. The money line is Chiefs  –145 and Eagles +122. Kansas City is the home team.

Hurts has improved every year and is the top candidate for NFL MVP along with Mahomes, who does not have the weapons that Hurts has at wide receiver. Hurts has 15 TDs and 8 Interceptions. Mahomes has 17 TDs and 8 interceptions. Hurts has a rating of 97 while Mahomes’ rating is 96.7. They are even going into this game.

The consensus: Chiefs have  56% of the action and the total is 71% going with the 0ver.

Player Props: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce under 7.5 receptions. The price is -163. Kelce has averaged 6.4 receptions on MNF. He is likely to be targeted at least 9 times. Take him under. Eagles WR AJ Brown over 85.5 yards receiving. The price is -119. Brown has exceeded 100 yards in receiving yardage in 6 of his last 7 games. Take him over!

The Selection: Andy Reid has a phenomenal record after a bye week. This goes back to his tenure with the Eagles. The Eagles are playing well but give the impression that they are not playing their best football to this point. The Broncos showed the blueprint for defeating the Chiefs is the ability to run the ball and not turn it over. Expect the Eagles to rely on the running game and keep Mahomes off the field. In a game that goes down to the last possession, take the Eagles and the under.
