Mims' Thursday Night Football Picks: Ravens vs Bucs, Lamar Jackson, Mike Evans props, Q&A with Jay Kornegay

Tampa Bay is giving 2 points at home, coming off a pitiful game against the Panthers.

The Thursday Night Football Game has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are 4-3 while the Bucs are 3-4. The Bucs are favored by 2 and the total is 46. The money line is -135 for the Bucs and +115 for the Ravens.

I am just getting back from a 3 day stay in Las Vegas at the Westgate Hotel. Westgate is the top Sportsbook in Las Vegas. While there, I had the chance to connect with Jay Kornegay, Vice President of Race and Sports. These are some of the questions I asked about Westgate and the game tonight.

Mims: How much does a VIP package cost?

Kornegay- We have a variety of VIP packages available in the SuperBook. These include prime VIP seating, food and drink, & wait service. Pending the event, the prices will vary. We have packages that start at $500 to $5,000.

Mims: How is the handle for a Thursday Night Game?

Kornegay: Thursday handle has been balanced. We opened the Bucs at -2 and it swiftly moved to the Raven -1.5. Over the last few hours, it has moved back to TB at -1.5. Good two-way action for the bookmaker. It does look like the public will give Brady and Company one more chance as ticket counts favor the Bucs.

Mims: There are a multitude of Props bets. What is the percentage of action compared to wagers on the game.

Kornegay- We have a slew of props for this game and the interest is light. We expect that to pick up as we get closer to kick-off.

Mims: Compare the in-game action to pre match. Which gets a higher percentage of the bets and the action.

Kornegay- Most of the action will be on pregame. The level of in-game action will depend on how the game progresses. If it’s back and forth with a lot of lead changes, it can create a lot of in-game action. If it’s lopsided, we expect the interest to tail off.

I really appreciate Jay taking out time for this special insight into Westgate and the game tonight. Now for the breakdown of the game

Head Coach Match Up: Bucs Head Coach Todd Bowles and Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh has the edge. Harbaugh has a Super Bowl victory in 2013. Harbaugh was voted AP Coach of the Year in 2019.

Player Props: Lamar Jackson over 60.5 yards rushing. Jackson is averaging 66 yards rushing in his last 4 games. The price is -119. Take Jackson over. Mike Evans over 68.5 yards receiving. The price is -135, Take Evans over.

The Selection: The Bucs have lost two games in a row. The Ravens have alternated winning and losing the entire season. The Bucs are down four starters on a short work week.  Go with the Ravens to reverse their trend and win back-to-back games for the first time this year. Ravens plus the points the under.

Follow me on Twitter during the second quarter of the game. Get my preview of the Monday Night Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. My record on Monday Night is 13-16 with 5 prop bets,4 team (ATS) and 4 over/under wins.
