Jared's NFL Week 16 early games: Browns vs Jets, Giants vs Ravens, Bears vs Jaguars, Colts vs Steelers, more

If the Steelers offense shows up, the game against Indy is the one to watch in the early slate.

Browns (-9) JETS (47.5)

Jared's pick: Browns

Breakout Player: RB Nick Chubb

New York got their first win last week against the Rams but this doesn’t change my perspective on them. Cleveland will blow them out. With RBs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt going against New York’s defense, the Jets should have a very tough day.

Giants (+10.5) RAVENS (44)

Jared's pick: Giants

Breakout Player: QB Lamar Jackson

The Ravens have been one of the most explosive teams on both sides of the ball in these last few weeks. With QB Daniel Jones and CB James Bradberry back for the Giants, I don’t see this being a blowout as New York has been great at keeping games close this season. The Giants will stay within the number.

TEXANS (-7) Bengals (45.5)

Jared's pick: Texans

Breakout Player: QB Deshaun Watson

Even though Cincinnati’s defense held Pittsburgh last week, Deshaun Watson as a way bigger threat than Ben Roethlisberger. Watson and the Texans should be able to run over Cincinnati’s defense and cover.

Bears (-7.5) JAGUARS (47)

Jared's pick: Bears

Breakout Player: RB David Montgomery

Chicago has been a totally different team with RB David Montgomery back from his injury and QB Mitch Trubisky back in the starting lineup. With the passing and running game going for this offense, they should annihilate Jacksonville.

Falcons (+11) CHIEFS (53.5)

Jared's pick: Falcons

Breakout Player: WR Tyreek Hill

The Chiefs have been the best team in the NFL and it’s not really close. Their only problem is not being able to blow teams out. The Falcons have been playing a lot better since their rough start and may squeeze by with 11 but I'd avoid this game.

Colts (+1) STEELERS (44)

Jared's pick: Colts

Breakout Player: WR TY Hilton

The Steelers have declined every week since their first loss. After watching them lose to a below average Bengals team last week, I do not see them beating the Colts. Indianapolis’s defense is going to destroy Pittsburgh if they play like they did last week. The Colts’ offense has also been improving and should put some more pressure on the Steelers’ defense.
