BoopProps Sunday - Eagles vs. Cardinals and Chiefs vs. Saints: We parlay some skill position players to find the end zone

Eagles-Cardinals, 4:05 FOX . . . Chiefs-Saints, 4:25, CBS

As Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was rolling his rushing yardage odometer into triple figures in last Sunday’s win over the Saints, we felt confident that we’d be back in that particular Prop Bet saddle a few times until the end of the season.

And we knew that the O/U number (we got 40.5 vs. the Saints) was going to rise, probably into the 50s. But then we saw the high 50s popping up for the Cardinals game and it became a little harder to pull the trigger.

So, we will take our shots somewhere else. Two somewhere elses, as a matter of fact.

Since the Eagles will be playing at the same time as our well-known second-favorite NFL team – the Kansas City Chiefs – and I will have access to both broadcasts, we thought we’d pop back and do what we did (and enjoyed) back in early October . . .

Parlay the Touchdown Odds for players on Philly and KC at each of the skill positions and hope for a big payday.

Most of the choices were obvious. Hurts and Patrick Mahomes are the starting quarterbacks. Miles Sanders and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are the talented young running backs.

And tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Tyreek Hill are just simply touchdown machines for the Chiefs.

The problem was with whom to pair them from Doug Pederson’s crew. TE Zach Ertz has been back for two weeks following an ankle injury, but he just has not looked like the Zach Ertz of old. Dallas Goedert, meanwhile, has recovered from a high-ankle sprain and fractured tibia (which kept him idle in October) to become the go-to pass catcher for the Birds, with at least six targets and at least four receptions in each of the last five games. He also has a pair of touchdowns over that time.

Now, the really tough call – Eagles wide receiver. (Yes, they do still have them on the roster.) Alshon Jeffery finally woke up and caught a TD pass last week. Greg Ward and Travis Fulgham each have four trips into the end zone this season. But . . .

Rookie Jalen Reagor is starting to show his wares. He has a run for double-digit yards and has a 34+ yard catch in each of the last two games. And, oh yeah, did we mention he went house on a 73-yard punt return in the fourth quarter against the Packers two weeks ago?

We know a lot of people are still unhappy the Eagles took him with the 21st overall pick this year, but that is all water under the bridge.

And, hopefully, pigskin in the end zone.

As always, we shopped around for the best odds and found them mostly at DraftKings and FanDuel. We did go with a couple at FOXBet because of some very nice single-TD odds.
