NFL early games: Jared picks Giants v Cardinals, Texans v Bears, Titans v Jaguars, Broncos v Panthers, more

Ones to watch among the Week 14 early games include the Dolphins vs. Chiefs and Buccaneers vs Vikings.

Texans (-2) BEARS (45.5)

Jared’s Pick: Texans

Breakout Player: QB Deshaun Watson

Chicago has been a huge disappointment with their once-solid defense. With Houston on an upwards trend, I’d expect the Texans to cover this 2-point spread. Deshaun Watson has been a nightmare for defenses, and after watching Chicago’s defense against Detroit last week, I don’t see them stopping him.

Titans (-7.5) JAGUARS (52.5)

Jared’s Pick: Titans

Breakout Player: RB Derrick Henry

When Derrick Henry goes against a below average defense, it’s hard to believe Tennessee will lose. Once Henry gets going, it’s almost impossible to stop him. Jacksonville’s defense has been horrible this season, and it wouldn’t shock me to see Tennessee embarrass them on Sunday.

Broncos (+3) PANTHERS (45.5)

Jared’s Pick: Broncos

Breakout Player: WR Jerry Jeudy

Carolina will not only be without RB Christian McCaffrey, but also WR DJ Moore. This Carolina offense is going to be in for a tough day, if Denver’s defense plays like they did against Kansas City last week. I don’t expect this to be a very high scoring game, but Denver should cover with Carolina missing some key offensive weapons.

Cowboys (-3.5) BENGALS (43)

Jared’s Pick: Cowboys

Breakout Player: WR CeeDee Lamb

Cincinnati is nothing without Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon. The Cowboys’ secondary has been a huge positive for this struggling team and should cause problems for backup Bengals QB Brandon Allen starting for Cincinnati. Dallas should not lose.

DOLPHINS (+7) Chiefs (50)

Jared’s Pick: Chiefs

Breakout Player: WR Tyreek Hill

Kansas City is without a doubt the most elite team in the league. However, they have been keeping some of their games close, and I don’t see them blowing out a team like Miami. Miami is also 9-3 against the spread this season, and they haven’t had an easy schedule.

CARDINALS (-2.5) Giants (45)

Jared’s Pick: Cardinals

Breakout Player: WR DeAndre Hopkins

New York’s defense has been amazing this season. They are coming off a huge win against the Seahawks, who are one of the best teams in the league. This week they will likely be without Blake Martinez, one of their key guys on D. The Cardinals have one of the best offenses in the league, with Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. if your defense isn’t fully healthy against Arizona, it’s going to be hard to beat them. if New York wants to win, their offense is going to have to step up behind a possibly healthy Daniel Jones.

BUCCANEERS (-6.5) Vikings (52.5)

Jared’s Pick: Buccaneers

Breakout Player: WR Mike Evans

Tampa Bay has had their ups and downs this season, but they are getting a break this week going against Minnesota’s defense. The Buccaneers’ offense is fully healthy and this could end up being a very high scoring game if Minnesota’s offense continues to put up the points they have been. Tampa Bay will be well rested after their bye week, so I see them covering.
