BoopProps Sunday - Eagles vs. Packers: We expect Birds to reverse their Under trend despite keeping the scoring tight(end)

Sunday, 4:25, CBS

The Eagles have played in five consecutive Under games, three of them missing the mark by at least six points (6.5, 10, 11).

But the Birds are strolling into Mr. (Aaron) Rodgers' Neighborhood to face a Packers team coming off games that totaled 65 and 66 points.

Considering also that the Eagles have not played in six consecutive Under games since 1998 and that they have somehow managed to score at least two touchdowns in each game this season (despite never reaching 30 points), we’re going to look at some Alternative Overs at DraftKings and FanDuel.

By the way, the Eagles’ last two games on the Frozen Tundra have both gone over, by 18 (in 2014) and 15 points (in 2019) respectively.

The 11 points the Eagles scored after intermission Monday night against the Seahawks was their lowest second-half output since Week 3 against the Bengals. Whether it is because they are playing from behind or the quarterback is free-wheeling it, they are hanging the majority of their numbers on the board after the break (130 points in the last eight games).

Sounds like they may be in that predicament again, so we will layer the second-half Eagles totals offered by FOXBet.

Now, where are all those points going to come from? Well, it is no denying when the times get tough, Carson Wentz goes to the tight end. And it looks like the Prodigal End (Zach Ertz) is set to return this week.

But we all know how much Doug Pederson likes the two- (and three-) tight-end sets, so do not discount the impact to be had by Dallas Goedert and Richard Rodgers. Monday night, those two combined for:

> 16 targets

> 10 catches

> 128 receiving yards

> 2 touchdowns

> 1 obligatory Oscar Hammerstein joke.

Rather than shop around for reception and yard O/Us for those guys, we are heading right to the endzones and playing all three guys to seek paydirt early and often.

In fact – since FanDuel will allow us to – we will lay down a fin on ALL THREE of them scoring.

Now, that would be fun!!!
