Week 11 Sunday: Jared Hackmyer picks the NFL early games, including Browns vs Eagles, Steelers vs Jaguars, more
RAVENS (-5.5) Titans (49)
Jared’s Pick: Ravens
Breakout Player: QB Lamar Jackson
After a 5-0 start, Tennessee has had a rough last four games. Both teams are definitely having above average first halves to the season, but Baltimore looks just a bit better. Baltimore’s defense has been amazing against every team they’ve played. This won’t be a blowout, but Baltimore will outplay Tennessee.
PANTHERS (+2.5) Lions (48)
Jared’s Pick: Panthers
Breakout Player: WR Robby Anderson
Detroit will be without starting RB D'Andre Swift, a key part to their offense this season. Also, Carolina has faced way harder opponents so far, and hasn’t looked bad against them. If QB Teddy Bridgewater is able to go, Carolina will cover.
BROWNS (-3) Eagles (47.5)
Jared’s Pick: Browns
Breakout Player: RB Nick Chubb
After watching Philly lose to the Giants by 10, it’s hard to believe they can beat a team like Cleveland now that the Browns have RB Nick Chubb back. Neither team has beat anyone impressive, but Cleveland has looked way better. If Philly wants to win, they have to take advantage of Cleveland’s defense without Myles Garrett. That won't be enough. Cleveland will cover.
Patriots (-2) TEXANS (48.5)
Jared’s Pick: Patriots
Breakout Player: WR Jakobi Meyers
New England has a ton of momentum going into week 11, after beating a very good Baltimore team. No one saw them pulling off that win. After 9 games of horrendous defense from Houston, the Patriots are getting the right opponent to build upon that momentum.
Steelers (-10.5) JAGUARS (46.5)
Jared’s Pick: Steelers
Breakout Player: WR Chase Claypool
Jacksonville hasn’t won a game since Week 1 and I don’t see their second win coming this week against the 9-0 Steelers. If Pittsburgh can beat Cincinnati by 26, they can cover the spread against Jacksonville.
SAINTS (-4) Falcons (51)
Jared’s Pick: Saints
Breakout Player: RB Alvin Kamara
New Orleans has been getting better every week but the Saints will be without star QB Drew Brees. Luckily, they will be up against a struggling Falcons defense and sub QB Taysom Hill has looked promising whenever he's played. Now, we’ll see if he’s capable of marching the Saints to a win. This should be one of the higher scoring games so the Over is tempting with the Falcons allowing 28 points per game.
Bengals (+2) FOOTBALL TEAM (46.5)
Jared’s Pick: Bengals
Breakout Player: WR Tee Higgins
Even though Cincinnati got crushed last week by Pittsburgh, they have kept way more games interesting this year than the Football Team. When you’re not a contending, how you play is more important than your record. The Bengals have been competing. It should be interesting to see how QB Joe Burrow performs against Washington’s secondary, which is having a ton of success. If Cincinnati can contain Washington’s weak offense, I have no doubt they can win this game.
