BoopProps Sunday NFL - Three words as the Eagles take on the Giants: Touchdown, Touchdown, Touchdown

Eagles at Giants, 1 p.m., FOX

We apologize . . .

If you were sitting next to us at the bar last December when Boston Scott scored three touchdowns in the second half of the Eagles’ most recent game at MetLie Stadium (cashing a 250-1 ticket for us) and our loud outcry startled you, we apologize. And we promise that it won’t happen again this week.

The loud outcry, that is, mostly since we will not be watching the game at a bar. The only ones that could be startled would be my wife and the four dogs on the Family Room couch next to me.

But an Eagle scoring three TDs? That is certainly on the table. Our reasoning:

> The Giants have already allowed multiple touchdowns to three different players in a game this season − the Steelers’ Julu Smith-Schuster, the 49ers’ Jeff Wilson and the Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott.

> The Eagles’ TD total would surely rise if they could just manage to get through a game without a turnover. They have at least one in all eight 2020 games, but the good news is that they have not done so in each of the first nine games of a season since 1999.

> The Birds’ will be getting RB Miles Sanders and WR Alshon Jeffery back in the fold, which will take the offensive load off rookie WR Travis Fulgham (and we can’t believe we just typed that phrase). The bottom line is that Carson Wentz will have more weapons at his disposal – as well as a seemingly healthy Lane Johnson on the OL.

We shopped around (DraftKing, FanDuel, William Hill, PointsBet, FOX Bet) and laid $1 on each Eagles skill player to score at least one, two and three touchdowns. They all won’t get into the end zone, but the hope is that one or two reach pay dirt multiple times and get us well into the black. And if Boston Scott wants to go for the hat trick again, we'll take that $231 (paying out on all three bets) and treat the dogs to extra treats.

The chart below lists the best price we found for each of the three bets for 15 Eagles at the skill positions. Not all of those will play, so $3 for each one that doesn’t, will be refunded.
