DeSean Jackson has played in 15 NFL games between Philadelphia and Washington since 2009, and his team has won 12 of them.

He has at least 100 yards receiving in five of the last eight of those neetings and has caught seven touchdown passes in the 10 of those match-ups in which he was an Eagle.

His first punt return for a TD was against the boys from D.C., as was his second rushing romp into the endzone.

Long story short, he has thrived in this rivalry no matter what name was on his jersey or the opponents and there is no reason to expect him coming up short here.

He mised most of 2019 with an abdomen injury so we look back to 2015, when he played only nine games due to a variety of boo-boos. The next season he responded with a six-catch, 102-yard contest in the opener against the Steelers.

And his last two opening days, in 2018 with the Bucs and last year with the Eagles: 13 catches, 300 yards, four TDs. All that in addition to four other Week 1 games in his career with 100 yards receiving.

For the record, his Week 1 Receiving Numbers (Catches, Yards, TDs):

2008 . . . 6 / 106 / 0

2009 . . . 2 / 9 / 0

2010 . . . 4 / 30 / 0

2011 . . . 6 /102 / 1

2012 . . . 4 / 77 / 0

2013 . . . 7 / 104/ 1

2014 . . . 8 / 62 / 0

2015 . . . 0 / 0 / 0 (injured 1st Q)

2016 . . . 6 / 102 / 0

2017 . . . Bye (Week 2: 3 / 39 / 0)

2018 . . . 5 / 146 / 2

2019 . . . 8 / 154 / 2

So, we are going all-in on DeSean in this Week 1, especially since the high praise in training camp has centered on WR Jalen Reagor, a speedy rookie out of TCU who is seemingly 100 percent recovered from a labrum tear suffered in August and will demand the defense’s attention from his very first NFL snap.

We will bounce around with wagers at DraftKings, FanDuel and PointsBet.
