The NFL Draft’s first round is scheduled to take place four weeks from today (April 23) and potential wagers have begun to pop up everywhere.

Over the next few days we’ll look at some of the more interesting ones and of course throw in our opinions are which ones are worth a buck, or three.

To place your bets on the NFL draft, we at Bettors Insider suggest you check out the Parx Sportsbook.

Today we look at the over/unders on the positions taken in the first round.

Total offensive players drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 15 1/2

Bet: Take the over. The number of wide receivers (at least six and maybe seven, eight) will push this past the number. There are also a good number of offensive linemen and at least four, maybe five, quarterbacks.

Total defensive players drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 15 1/2

Bet: Both of those could go over if there are exactly 16 of each taken in round one. That would be kind of interesting as well. I don’t like this either way, but if forced I’d take the under.

Total Quarterbacks drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 4

Bet: This has push written all over it. LSU’s Joe Burrow, Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa, Utah State’s Jordan Love and Oregon’s Justin Herbert will all go. Will there be a fifth? Possibly Washington’s Jacob Eason. So, take the over and hope.

Total Wide Receivers drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 5 1/2

Bet: Take the over. Just take the over.

Total Running Backs draft in Round 1

Over/Under: 1 1/2

Bet: This in interesting. Georgia’s D’Andre Swift is going to go, so that’s one. But that might be it unless Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor slips in there, or there is another surprise. I think there might be, so a slight lean to the over.

Total Tight Ends Drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 1/2

Bet: It comes down to do you think Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet goes in the first round. If you do, take the over. I’m taking the over.

Total Offensive Linemen Drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 5 1/2

Bet: Another good number. because it’s going to be either five, or six. Again, go with the over because there could always be a surprise.

Total Defensive Linemen Drafted in Round 1

Over/Unde:r 6

Bet: A lot of this depends on what they consider “Edge’’ players to be linebackers or defensive ends. In any case take the over.

Total Linebackers Drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 3 1/2

Bet: See above on “Edge’’, but the only true linebacker who should go in Round 1 is Oklahoma’s Kenneth Murray, so take the under.

Total Defensive Backs Drafted in Round 1

Over/Under: 6 1/2

Bet: Only one safety, LSU’s Grant Delpit is going Round 1, so to take the over you need six cornerbacks. That’s possible because this is a good corner draft. But because of that teams may wait until Round 2. Take the under.
