From Andy Dalton to Cam Newton, which QB will be where when the season starts – Mark Eckel breaks down the odds

While fans all stay at home, a lot of quarterbacks will be on the move.

For the past week-and-a-half or so we broke down he quarterback situation for each team in a division by division format.

Now here are some quarterback situations some spots are offering lines on:

Where will Andy Dalton be in week one of 2020 regular season?

Miami Dolphins 7/4

Washington Redskins 9/4

New England Patriots 6-1

Carolina Panthers 9-1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-1

Dallas Cowboys 10-1

Los Angeles Chargers 12-1

Jacksonville Jaguars 16-1

New Orleans Saints 16-1

Analysis: It’s kind of interesting that Dalton’s current team, the Cincinnati Bengals aren’t even listed. I don’t like either of the two favorites. New England, at 6-1, isn’t a bad bet. And Jacksonville, at 16-1, might be a good bet.

Where will Cam Newton be in Week 1 of 2020 Regular Season?

Washington Redskins 3-2

New England Patriots 2-1

Miami Dolphins 5-2

Jacksonville Jaguars 9-1

Denver Broncos 16-1

Las Vegas Raiders 16-1

Pittsburgh Steelers 28-1

Cincinnati Bengals 40-1

Analysis: For Newton it’s all about his health. He may not be ready for the start of the 2020 season. The Redskins connection with new head coach Ron Rivera is why they are the favorite. The Bengals, at 40-1, is a nice price.

Where will Jameis Winston be in Week 1 of the 2020 Regular Season?

Miami Dolphins Even

Washington Redskins 3-1

Los Angeles Chargers 7-1

New England Patriots 7-1

Jacksonville Jaguars 8-1

New Orleans Saints 14-1

Dallas Cowboys 20-1

Analysis: Where is the “Other’’? The two teams I would have bet are the Raiders and Bengals. Of those listed, maybe the Chargers?

Who will be the Chargers starting QB Week 1 of the 2020 Regular Season?

Tyrod Taylor 1-4

Justin Herbert 5-1

Jameis Winston 7-1

Andy Dalton 12-1

Tua Tagovaiola 16-1

Jordan Love 20-1

Jake Fromm 40-1

Colin Kaepernick 100-1

Analysis: This is tough. The Chargers are saying it’s Taylor, but hose odds aren’t worth betting. Herbert, or Winston, might be worth a buck, or three.

Who will be the Patriots QB Week 1 of the 2020 Regular Season?

Jarrett Stidham 3-2

Cam Newton 2-1

Andy Dalton 6-1

Jameis Winston 6-1

Jacoby Brissett 7-1

Derek Carr 14-1

Cody Kessler 33-1

Jimmy Garoppolo 33-1

Joe Flacco 33-1

Eli Manning 100-1

Analysis: I would never take Stidham at those odds. And the last four make no sense. I would have rather taken a long shot on Andrew Luck. Dalton, at 6-1, isn’t a bad bet. And Carr, at 14-1, is interesting.

Who will be the Bears Starting QB Week 1 of he 2020 Regular Season?

Nick Foles -150

Mitch Trubisky +110

Analysis: If Foles is the starter, the Bears lose Trubisky for good. And everyone knows Foles can’t play six games without getting hurt. Start Trubisky and then go with Foles, who has shown he’s much better coming in during the season anyway.
