Boop on Week 16 Eagles vs. Cowboys Prop Bets - Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott, Miles Sanders, Dallas Goedert, Greg Ward

We know the Dallas Cowboys are not the 1972 Dolphins, but they certainly aren’t the 2019 Giants or 2019 Redskins either, both of whom gave the Eagles more trouble than a team trying to secure a division title should have had to deal with.

The Birds’ 27-point loss in Dallas on Oct. 20 still resonates, but the Eagles have rebounded from big losses (by 20+ points) with a victory in the later-season Cowboys rematch twice in the last four such meetings (1995, 2007).

So, it can happen.

No playing around with any spreads here. We are taking the Doug Pedersons with the best money line we found, +115 at William Hill.

Eagles To Win . . . $5 / $5.75

● ● ●

>>> Miles Sanders broke the Eagles’ 46-game drought without a 100-yard rusher last Sunday. This week, he could become the second-youngest Eagle to record back-to-back 100-yard rushing games. (A beer on us if you knew Bryce Brown was the youngest.)

Cowboys linebackers will no doubt be keying on Sanders, but if the Eagles get a lead, he should get the ball enough to grind out at least 75 yards and he can always break a biggie. He has the Eagles’ longest play in six of their 14 games so far this season.

Miles Sanders Rushing Yards –

Over 74.5 (+108 PB) . . . $5 / $5.40

Over 99.5 (+300 PB) . . . $3 / $9.00

Over 124.5 (+650 PB). . . $2 / $13.00

● ● ●

>>> We have a sneaky feeling that there may not be many possessions in the first quarter as both teams try to run the ball and establish some momentum, so the idea of coming out of the first 15 minutes tied appeals to us. FanDuel is offering +380 on that (we saw it as low as +275).

First Quarter Ends Tied . . . $3 / $11.40

● ● ●

>>> To kind of hedge our bet on being tied after the first quarter, we are going to go with the Over 7.5 Points at DraftKings (-114), especially since it was Over 9.5 at most other places we looked.

First Quarter Over 7.5 Points . . . $5 / $4.40

● ● ●

>>> In three games, Dak Prescott has never thrown an interception at Lincoln Financial Field (74 attempts) . . . The Eagles defense has picked off just two of their opposing quarterbacks’ last 226 attempts . . . Both of those things are about to change, and despite the steep odds (-142 FanDuel), we are on it.

Prescott To Throw Interception . . . $5 / $3.52

● ● ●

>>> Dallas Goedert has at least three catches in each of his last nine games and more than three in six of those. Again, some steep odds (-150 FD), but it is a slam dunk if you ask us.

Goedert Over 3.5 Catches . . . $5 / $3.33

>>> Now, the touchdowns . . .

We are working through a couple of different avenues here. First off, DraftKings has some extremely high odds on a couple of Eagles to score three or more touchdowns. Secondly, the way the Eagles offense is pieced together now (with glue, paper clips and rubber bands), anybody can score. And if they score once, who says they can’t score again.

So, we start everybody’s favorite new wide receiver Greg Ward Jr., the only Eagles WR to have a catch last week.

Then it is third-string TE Josh Perkins, who had five catches against the Giants and has played 45 snaps over the last two games. FanDuel also has him at the same odds (100-1) to score 2+ TDs as they do 3+ TDs, so we save $1 by not having to bet the 3+. His best Any TD odds were at William Hill (+1600).

Next, is promising (our word, maybe not too many others’) WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. He is right on the fringe of breaking through and he has played over 90% of the offensive snaps the last two weeks. Because, well, he has to. Also, DraftKings has him at 500-1 to catch three TDs. For a guy that will play so much, well worth the gamble.

Now, it is Dallas Goedert who always seems to come through for us. His odds for Any TD (+240 DK) and 2+ TDs (+2200 FD) are okay, but it is the 150-1 that DK has on his scoring 3+ TDs that caught our eye.

Lastly, FanDuel has Carson Wentz at 100-1 to score 2+ TDs. He has three in his career, one earlier this season, and if his receivers can’t get open in the red zone, we can see him Fran Tarkenton-ing himself into the endzone a time or two.

Greg Ward –

Score Any TD . . . $4 / $11.60 (+290 FD)

Score 2+ TDs . . . $2 / $60 (+3000 FD)

Score 3+ TDs . . . $1 / $150 (+15000 DK)

Josh Perkins –

Score Any TD . . . $3 / $48 (+1600 WH)

Score 2+ TDs . . . $2 / $200 (+10000 FD)

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside –

Score Any TD . . . $3 / $15 (+500 DK)

Score 2+ TDs . . . $2 / $120 (+6000 DK)

Score 3+ TDs . . . $1 / $500 (+50000 DK)

Dallas Goedert –

Score Any TD . . . $5 / $12 (+240 DK)

Score 2+ TDs . . . $2 / $44 (+2200 FD)

Score 3+ TDs . . . $1 / $1500 (+15000 DK)

Carson Wentz –

Score 2+ TDs . . . $1 / $100 (+10000 FD)
