MIAMI +3 at New York Giants

The Giants? The Giants? (said in my best Jim Mora impersonation). Loved Big Blue as big ‘dog to inconsistent Philly last Monday, but as a favorite this week ... uh, no. Giants are in free-fall while Dolphins have covered 7 of last 9.

Atlanta +10½ at SAN FRANCISCO

I say it every time, so here we go again ... I hate laying this many points to anyone, but Niners need this game to stay a leg up on the rest of the NFC for home-field throughout the playoffs and don’t figure to look past improved Falcons to next week’s division tilt against Rams. SF’s defense got scorched last week by Saints but had held Packers and Ravens to 28 points total in the previous two weeks, and I don’t see this one turning into a track meet. Since blowout loss to Rams on Oct. 20, Atlanta is 4-2 ATS and 3-3 SU, but 2 of the SU wins have come against Carolina team that has packed it in.

BUFFALO +1½ at Pittsburgh

In a game where points figure to be at a premium (Steelers’ last 5 games have totaled 156 points by BOTH teams), I’m leaning to Bills team that has actually given up fewer points than Pittsburgh and has held 10 teams to 20 or under. Bills slowed down Ravens last week and came within a hair of covering, while Steelers had their hands full with flawed Cardinals.
