Bet the National Rugby League! Miller picks Parramatta Eels vs Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday as the NRL season starts to take shape

Parramatta Eels look to move back to top of NRL table, but could get a tough battle from Manly Sea Eagles. Match time is Saturday at 3:30 am EDT.

While the National Rugby League season has just resumed in Australia, the top part of the ladder is already starting to take shape.

Two teams that should definitely be near the top come the end of the season are the Parramatta Eels and Manly Sea Eagles, and those two teams will clash early Saturday morning. Both teams come in off impressive games last week (Eels 34-6 over Broncos, Sea Eagles 32-6 over Bulldogs), and will look to continue building towards something bigger.

Parramatta has won eight of nine games at the Bankwest Stadium, including one so far this season. The Eels have also been very good in possession time, with a 15-minute advantage last week.

Friday morning, the favorites went 3-0, outscoring their opponents 107-8 with two shutouts. While this could be a tight contest, I will take the Eels as the home favorite.
