In the opening weekend of the National Rugby League, both the Parramatta Eels and Gold Coast Titans struggled. But there was one big difference. The Eels could not get much offense going, but found a way to beat Canterberry 8-2.

Gold Coast was beaten by 18 points, 24-6, against Canberra.

Parramatta should be able to improve pretty quickly against the Titans. Look for the Eels to get some points on the board early, on the way to a relatively straightforward win.
