When in doubt, back the SEC in bowl season. Vanderbilt didn’t get the job done against Baylor Thursday, but Auburn responded in a big way Friday against Purdue. Florida has had a lot of success in Year One under Dan Mullen, sitting at 9-3 (8-4 ATS) with a win against LSU. The Gators overachieved, but probably were never taken all that seriously in the SEC nonetheless. Michigan was in a weaker conference and came up small in its two biggest games of the year: opening the season with a loss at Notre Dame and closing out the regular season getting shellacked in Columbus to kiss the playoff goodbye. SEC teams have covered 16 of the last 20 Bowl games in which they were getting six or more points. We like Florida to keep that trend rolling.
