NCAAF: Miami (-3) vs. Wisconsin - Thursday, 5:15 pm
File-This Oct. 27, 2018, file photo shows Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst talking to his team against Northwestern during the first half of an NCAA college football game in Evanston, Ill. Wisconsin and Miami followed much of the same dreary path that started in the warmth of the Orange Bowl and ends with a frigid thud at Yankee Stadium. The Badgers and Hurricanes were both AP Top 25 teams when they played last season in the Orange Bowl, a 34-24 win for No. 6 Wisconsin in a game that seemed to serve as a preview for a better 2018 ahead for both programs. Pick: Wisconsin (+3) and Under 47.5

Pick an offensive stat and Miami is probably below average in said statistic. In their last six games, the Hurricanes scored above 24 points just once. Miami’s in this game because of its defense. While defensive coordinator Manny Diaz is still coaching with the Canes in this game before focusing entirely on his new job as the head coach at Temple, it’s fair to wonder if Miami’s defense will be itself in this one. Jonathan Taylor is the next big Wisconsin running back and we like him to have a nice game and allow the Badgers to control the clock in what should be a low-scoring contest based on ball control. This one’s a race to 24, and we’re on the Badgers getting there first. For that same reason, we’re on the under 47.5 here as well.
