Fridays are usually a smaller slate with the bigger games on deck on Saturday, but we found a gem on tonight's board! We are heading to the Ivy League tonight for a matchup between Harvard and Princeton
Harvard travels to Princeton in an unfavorable spot for them. Over their last 16 road games, they are just 5-11 against the spread. They have also lost 3 of their last 4 road games by blowouts, and I am not talking 10 points.
They are coming off losses of 20 and 15, and they lost at Yale by 29! Harvard is 4-9 on the road, 9-13 overall, and 4-5 in conference. They allow 73 per game, while Princeton allows 71.5, and Princeton outscores Harvard 74 to 68.5.
Harvard has not shown the ability to put a complete game together on the road. The only time they have is when they are playing a bottom-feeder team.
If Princeton wins, they can position themselves for a top 2 seed in the conference, needing Dartmouth to add a loss at some point soon. Dartmouth has Princeton and Yale on deck, Princeton knows they need every win!
Princeton is 16-8 overall, 7-3 at home, and is looking to follow up a 20-point win, their last home game. Princeton is also coming off 2 road losses, coming back home in a favorable spot, I expect them to clamp down on defense and score the ball with efficiency tonight. Last season Princeton beat Harvard by more than 8 in both games and they beat them at home by 31!
I do not expect another 30-point win, but we might see double digits. I trust Princeton here to establish some dominance and position themselves for a 2 seed in their conference tournament.
