2 College Basketball Player Props and Predictions for Wednesday, January 29
Tahaad Pettiford is part of our college basketball player props card for Wednesday!

Welcome to Hump Day, sports betting family! Tuesday was nice for us on the college hardwood, as our player props went 2-0 to run our record to 19-18 on the young season. Hopefully, this is the start of a big run for us!

As we predicted, Otega Oweh of Kentucky played a solid game against Tennessee, but he stayed well Under his point total. Chucky Hepburn of Louisville made us sweat but our Under ticket on him cashed as well. Needless to say, it was nice to sweep the board after a couple of tough results on Monday.

Let's get back in the win column tonight. Here are my two best college hoops player props for Wednesday, January 29. Good luck, my friends!

Tahaad Pettiford (Auburn) Under 12.5 Points (-118) (BetMGM)

Auburn at LSU: 7:00 PM EST (SEC)

Pettiford is one of Auburn's best bench players and he usually contributes in a big way on offense. That being said, the 6'1" guard only gets about 21 minutes of playing time per game. That stat alone immediately made me interested in the Under.

Pettiford has a nice skillset, but he'll have a tough matchup on his hands against LSU. The Bayou Bengals rank a respectable 34th in defensive efficiency and an impressive 13th in two-point defense. Those two numbers tell me that Pettiford could have a hard time reaching double figures tonight in Baton Rouge.

Lastly, there are a few yearly metrics that favor the Under in this spot. Pettiford has scored 12 points or fewer in 12 of his 19 ball games this season. He's also stayed under this line in 5 of his last 7 outings. Give me the Under to get this party started.

Elijah Hawkins (Texas Tech) Under 9.5 Points (-130) (BetMGM)

TCU at Texas Tech: 7:00 PM EST (ESPN2)

This Texas Tech offense has been struggling lately, and I don't see them automatically snapping out of their shooting funk just because they're back at home. Lubbock is a tough place to play, but this is a heated rivalry, and TCU will bring a lot of intensity on the defensive end.

Speaking of defense, the Horned Frogs are 70th in defensive efficiency and 51st at defending three-pointers. Those aren't stellar numbers, but they aren't too bad for a middle-of-the-road Big 12 squad. Hawkins shouldn't be able to do too much damage in this one, especially since JT Toppin takes the majority of the shots.

Hawkins has stayed under this total in three straight games. He's also scored 9 points or fewer in 11 of his 17 outings this season. The Under has hit in 80% of Hawkins's home games. Let's ride!

Note: I may have an additional player prop later on today. The books have yet to post lines for the Houston vs. West Virginia game and there are several players I'm targeting in that one. If I find something to add, I'll post it on my X page.
