Player Prop Best Bets for Saturday's March Madness Slate

Guard play dominates March and big performances from Tyson Walker (MSU) and Terrance Shannon Jr. (ILL) should move their teams into the Sweet 16.

G Tyson Walker (MSU)

Over 16.5 Points | -110 at DraftKings

Michigan State has opened as just four point underdogs against a Carolina team that might not have an answer for the intensity that MSU brings to the table.

With Tyson Walker coming off a 19 point game in the Round of 64 where he made three 3-pointers, look for the Spartan guard to continue his incredible March past the 1-seeded Carolina.

He averaged 17 points in Michigan State’s run to the Sweet 16 last season, including a 23 point outing against Marquette in the 2nd round.

F Pelle Larsson (ARI)

Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists | -120 at DraftKings

Dayton barely squeaking past Nevada doesn’t give me much hope they will be able to defend a much faster pace and ultimately more talented Wildcat team.

With the Flyers’ smaller guards, look for Pelle to attack early and often while creating playmaking opportunities for Ballo and Johnson down low. Play this number up to 25, as he will make more of an impact than some of his fellow swingmen.

G Kylan Boswell (ARI)

Under 9.5 Points | -110 at FanDuel

Similar to the point above, Kylan Boswell might struggle in this game against pestier Flyers guards and a solid paint presence in Daron Holmes. Although Bos had a great game against LBSU, Dayton will throw some zone at the ‘Cats, and Boswell should take advantage as a playmaker more in this situation. Can’t see Kylan dropping more than 13 points in this one, as this paints out to be a Caleb Love and Pelle Larsson game.

F Terrance Shannon Jr. (ILL)

Over 23.5 Points | -105 at Bet365

TSJ should play as a grown man amongst kids in this matchup tomorrow against the Dukes. Shannon is coming off a 26 point performance against Morehead State and will face a team that is coming off a narrow victory to BYU, who didn’t have an athlete even close to TSJ’s level.

This could be a tight matchup, but expect Shannon Jr. to shoot the rock more than 20 times. Play this number anywhere near 23, a number he has hit in five straight outings.
