Daron Holmes (Dayton) Under 21.5 Points (-115) (Bet365)

At 6’10” and 220 pounds, Holmes is an absolute beast down low on the block for this Dayton team. While it can be frightening to play an Under on a team’s best scorer, that’s often where the value is. Sometimes the hardest wagers to place are the best ones!

A quick look at Holmes’s median point total (20) tells us that this line is inflated by almost 7%. In 27 games this season, Holmes has scored 21 points or less in 16 of them. Holmes has also stayed Under this point total in 9 of his 13 road/neutral games.

The matchup favors an Under on Mr. Holmes as well. Most folks just don’t know how good this Loyola-Chicago team is on the defensive end. The Ramblers (how cool of a team name is that) rank 11th in opponent shooting percentage allowed (39.9%). They also rank an impressive 5th at defending all two-point shots.

Darius Brown (Utah St) Under 13.5 Points (-125) (Bet365)

Here’s another point total that just looks a shade too high on the surface. Sure, Air Force isn’t exactly a great defensive team but the oddsmakers may have over-adjusted for that fact in this case. People forget that Air Force vs. Utah State is a rivalry game, so the Falcons should give maximum effort on D in this one.

Brown’s median point total this year is just 11, which implies a solid edge of around 18.5% on the Under. The 6’2” 195-pound guard has scored 13 points or fewer in 20 of his 28 games during the ‘23-24 campaign. Brown has also stayed Under this total in 9 of his 13 home games.

We already talked about this Air Force team’s subpar defense. However, we think it’s worth mentioning that Brown only mustered up 8 points against this same Falcons squad back on January 2. Take the Under!

Nick Davidson (Nevada) Under 7.5 Rebounds (+115) (DraftKings)

How about a nice plus money Under to close out the Friday night card? It’s scary to fade a guy like Davidson against a poor rebounding team like Fresno State (330th in rebounds per game), but that’s just what the doctor ordered. Let’s dig into the matchup and explain our reasoning.

While Fresno State’s overall rebounding numbers are bad, they do have a big man named Enoch Boakye on their team. This kid is 6’11” and 250 pounds and is averaging 8.2 rebounds per game this season. We think Boakye can keep Davidson (6’8”, 210 pounds) off the glass enough for us to cash this Under ticket.

As for the overall metrics, Davidson’s rebounding median is 7. He’s also stayed Under this total in 17 of his 29 outings. Davidson only came down with 6 boards against Fresno State back on January 6. Let’s cash some tickets!
