Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs, 7 pm Eastern
O'Sullivan's Pick: Arkansas +9.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10

O'Sullivan: Gonzaga has the best adjusted-offense in the nation, but Arkansas’ adjusted-defense is a very solid 14th. The Razorbacks won’t be intimidated either by the Bulldogs’ offense or their quick pace. I feel Gonzaga has let both teams they’ve played in this tourney hang around far too long, and I think as long as Arkansas takes care of the basketball, they’ll hang around too. I’m not predicting an upset, but more a somewhat sloppy, ragged affair, with Gonzaga pulling away again late, but late enough that the almost double-digit spread is covered.
Baller: I think Gonzaga is too big for Arkansas, and the SEC has been laying an egg. But . . . Gonzaga has not been blowing teams out and Arkansas doesn't get blown out. Neither team has been lighting the scoreboard on fire and I'm thinking defense will be played.
Michigan Wolverines vs. Villanova Wildcats, 7:30 pm Eastern
O'Sullivan's Pick: Villanova -4.5 (-110), bet $22 to win $20

O'Sullivan: I think Michigan is playing well above their heads, here. They needed a special shooting effort to beat Colorado State on Thursday, and their starting point guard DeVanté Jones is dealing with multiple injuries. Jones is listed as questionable, and if the Wolverines don’t have him, the Villanova backcourt of Collin Gillespie and Justin Moore will cause the turnover-prone Michigan team problems. Major problems. The Wildcats took care of business against Ohio State, and though Ohio State split with Michigan in the Big 10 this season, that makes sense because the two teams are equivalent. That tells me Villanova will take care of business tonight.
Baller: Villanova is playing well, their defense is tough, and Villanova's offense is hard to prepare for so the extra days won't be an advantage for Juwan Howard and Michigan. They will be an advantage for Jay Wright and Nova.
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Duke Blue Devils, 9:40 pm Eastern
O'Sullivan's Pick: Duke +1.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10

O'Sullivan: To me, the difference is this: Duke made plays to outlast Michigan State on Sunday, while Texas Tech needed opponent Notre Dame to stop making plays in order to survive their game. Duke’s offense matches well with the Red Raiders’ defense and vice-versa, so this is a pretty even matchup. I’ll take the experience of Coach K, the polished offense of Paolo Banchero, and the rising confidence of fellow freshmen A.J. Griffin and Trevor Keels. If Duke guards as enthusiastically as they did Sunday (Michigan State shot the heck out of the ball for long stretches), Texas Tech will have difficulty scoring, and that will be enough for the Blue Devils.
Baller: Coach K gets four days to prepare and I still get a point. I had questions about Dukes toughness prior to the Michigan St. game, but not anymore. Their offensive talent beats Texas Tech's defensive talent.
Houston Cougars vs. Arizona Wildcats, 10 pm Eastern
O'Sullivan's Pick: Arizona -1.5 (-110), bet $22 to win $20

O'Sullivan: Arizona escaped on Sunday night, just flat-out escaped. I think it was the wake-up call they needed. Wildcat sophomore guard Bennedict Mathurin is a flat-out stud, and I think the overtime win against TCU was his coming-out party. He’s ready to show the nation how good he is. Houston has been impressive in the tournament but at some point, the injury issues they’ve been surviving will bite them. The Wildcats’ pace will draw the Cougars into an athletic track meet the Cougars are not quite able to match, and their frontcourt is big enough to keep Houston off the boards. The KenPom rankings have Houston #2 and Arizona #3, but I think Mathurin is the difference, here. He’s the best player on the floor by far, and he’s poised to make a national splash this weekend.
Baller: I'm rewarding Houston for being on a roll – five straight double-digit wins – and Arizona a bit out of sync. That could change tonight but I'm relying on the recent past.
