LOSS: Lafayette lost to Bucknell 92-89 in OT.

Monday Patriot League Picks

American at Colgate, 6:30 pm EST

Game over 137 1/2, $11 to win $10.

I've been successfully riding Colgate, but 17 points is too many to give even though the Raiders could win by 25. Instead I'll wager that Colgate will let its offense carry it and play just enough defense to keep the lead in double digits.

Holy Cross at Lafayette, 7 pm EST

No bet.

6 1/2 seems too many points for Lafayette to give to a Holy Cross team who just beat Navy on the road. Lafayette on the moneyline at -275 is too low a risk-reward. The over/under of 136 1/2 seems a tad high to me, but not high enough. Since my editor forces a pick out of me, Holy Cross on the moneyline at +200 seems the best risk-reward, but I'm not picking against retiring Lafayette coach Fran O'Hanlon at home, where his Leopards have won their last three.
