Virginia has won four in a row, but three of those were at home and the win at Duke could’ve just as easily been a loss. Virginia Tech has won five in a row. The Hokies are 9-3 at home (8-4 against the spread). The Pomeroy rankings have Virginia Tech at 29th (with a 19th ranked adjusted offense) and Virginia at 76th. The Cavaliers are 10-5 in ACC play while the Hokies are 7-7. I think Virginia Tech is better, and I’m riding them tonight. Also, I’m taking the over because while both teams play slow, 118.5 is quite low for a total involving a team averaging over 70 points per game. The Hokies average 70.9, have scored an average of 77.4 in their last five wins, and are hungrier. Make me proud, Blacksburg.
