Syracuse Orangemen at Miami Hurricanes, 8 pm Eastern

The Pick: Miami -130, bet $13 to win $10

Miami is 7-1 at home this year, while Syracuse has only played two games in an opponent’s gym so far. Both teams have adjusted offenses in the top 26 and both teams have mediocre defenses. But the Orangemen have been pretty inconsistent (yes, I still remember the home loss to Colgate, guys) while the Hurricanes take care of business at home. I’ll pay a little extra to not have to worry about laying the two points.

North Carolina Tar Heels at Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 9 pm Eastern

The Pick: North Carolina -130, bet $13 to win $10

I’ll pay the same extra “tax” to get just a straight North Carolina win. The Tar Heels are 3-0 on the road, and I continue to think they’re better than they’re showing thus far. They rank 16th in Pomeroy’s adjusted offense, and while Notre Dame is 33rd, the Irish’s adjusted tempo is a plodding 281st. North Carolina is also bigger, outrebounding Notre Dame by six per game (40.1 to 34.1). I see the Tar Heels winning easily tonight.
