The Pick: Brown +10.5 (-115), bet $11.50 to win $10; under 143.5 points (-105), bet $10.50 to win $10

An Ivy/ACC matchup, how convenient for Seattle O’Sullivan readers. I continue to be impressed with Brown’s pluck this season and feel that 10.5 points are a lot for them to be getting against an uneven Syracuse team. The Orangemen’s best win this year was a double-overtime victory over Indiana, 28th in the Pomeroy rankings. They also lost to Colgate by 15 at home. I’m not arguing Brown will win, just that Syracuse doesn’t have an invincible aura, even in their own gym. I’m taking the under as well because Brown has been holding teams to 64 points per game, and have an adjusted defense in the top 100 in Pomeroy. I think the combination of their defense, Syracuse’s erratic nature, and typical post-holiday malaise, will keep the scoring down somewhat.
