The Pick: Teaser Princeton -2.5 w/Penn +6.5, +100, bet $10 to win $10

I’ll tease two Ivies today. Princeton is over 140 spots better than Lafayette in Pomeroy, so taking the spread down to 2.5 points seems the play, even if the Tigers are on the road. The more intriguing matchup is between Penn and LaSalle. The Quakers have lost five in a row, to be sure. But look at the common opponents they have with the Explorers. Penn played Villanova and Temple tough, even coming to within nine of the Wildcats on December 1. LaSalle, on the other hand, lost to Temple by 16 and Villanova by 26. This game today is a toss-up, and though the Quakers are on the road, once again, that road trip probably will take about fifteen minutes. I think Penn plays with their backs against the wall today, so teasing them to +6.5 should be enough.
