Well, as my editor said to me last night, “You’re new to the Ivies…” I take that as a personal challenge, or rather, as a gentle encouragement that I’ll take as a personal affront that I’ll rationalize to use as a personal challenge.

Princeton -15.5 (-110), bet $5.50 to win $5

Moneyline parlay: Yale (-420) w/Princeton (-1600), true price -317, bet $25 to win $7.89

Teaser: Yale -1.5/Princeton -8.5 (-150), bet $15 to win $10

Clearly, -317 is not good value but I need to get a win here. I’m gonna try to break out of the slump by teasing the two teams expected to top the Ivy League this season. Yale is over one hundred spots above Stony Brook in the Pomeroy rankings, and Princeton tops Fairleigh Dickinson by over 170 spots. Stony Brook gives up almost 80 points per game and Yale, despite their flaws, usually beats up on lesser teams. Princeton is a week off from beating a Pac-12 team, and Fairleigh Dickinson is winless. I’m banking on the Ivy blue bloods to take care of business today.
