Wednesday BoopProps - Villanova at Seton Hall

Villanova scored 18 points in the first 20 minutes of its loss to Providence last weekend, their lowest-scoring half since falling behind Michigan by 44-17 in the third game of last season.

Not a good sign, but for our purposes we are going to concentrate on the First Half Totals of the Wildcats’ last nine games, in order:

Feb. 1 - 58 . . . . Feb. 5 – 80

Feb. 8 – 58 . . . Feb. 12 – 67

Feb. 16 - 56 . . . Feb. 19 - 72

Feb. 22 - 51 . . . Feb. 26 - 70

Feb. 29 - 48 . . . March 4 - TBD

The last four times VU and its opponent combined for less than 60 points by intermission, the next game's first half jumped to at least 67 each time. Since we are dealing with an Over 65.5 or 66 here – and it is Senior Night for Seton Hall’s great Myles Powell, who can go off at any moment and often does – that seems like an easy Over.

By the way, Powell has faced the Wildcats nine times. His three highest scoring of those games – 20, 25 and 19 points – are his last three.

Villanova-Seton Hall –

First Half Over 66 (-105) . . . $10 / $9.60
