NCAAB: Saturday Ivy Teaser takes the second night of back-to-backs

Yale -5 @ DARTMOUTH (146), 7 pm; Brown +6.5 @ HARVARD (136.5), 7 pm; Princeton -2 @ CORNELL (132.5); Penn -5 @ COLUMBIA (139) 8 pm

This weekend launches the Ivies back-to-back round robin and tonight is the unique and difficult second game, in which lack of sleep, uncomfortable bus travel and forgetting last night’s game come into play. We went 5-for-8 last night, getting stumped by the Penn-Cornell contest and completely missing the line on Yale-Harvard. But we got three of four over/unders teased correctly going with the under. Tonight those numbers were lowered considerably making this much tougher. Again, we’re going to give you eight teaser picks for you to pair however you like, depending on your preferences. Keep in mind you can’t tease the spread and the O/U in the same game (unless your book really likes you).

Yale -5 @ DARTMOUTH (146), 7 pm. Yale (12-4, 2-1) had been cruising along while Harvard had been stumbling and last night Harvard slapped Yale upside the head. Yale stars Miye Oni and Jordan Bruner went 5-23 from the field, 0-11 from three, and Yale was embarrassed 65-49. Dartmouth (10-9, 1-2), meanwhile, blew a 5-point lead in the final minute and lost to Brown. So both teams are going to be ornery. Yale is just better. We’ll give them the 5 and expect them to win.
Pick: Yale EVEN over DARTMOUTH and Under 151.

Brown +6.5 @ HARVARD (136.5), 7 pm. Brown (13-6, 1-2) gutted one out, with a little luck, on the road at Dartmouth while Harvard (9-7, 2-1) sailed by Yale. The Bears haven’t beaten the Crimson in forever, despite a number of game attempts, and this may be the year when they get them at home. But not tonight.
Pick: HARVARD -1.5 Over Brown and Under 141.5.

Princeton -2 @ CORNELL (132.5). Princeton at Columbia was the gimme of last night. This game is much more difficult to figure. Princeton (11-5, 3-0) guards Myles Stephens and Jaelin Llewellyn played 38 and 36 minutes against the Lions and this is the freshman Llewellyn’s first back-to-back. Cornell (10-9, 2-1) has to be pumped over its win against Penn and Coach Brian Earl played a lot of guys. We’re going to give Cornell the 5 and take it off the O/U figuring that the defensive intensity will be a little less with tired legs.
Pick: CORNELL +7 Over Princeton and Over 127.5

Penn -5 @ COLUMBIA (139) 8 pm. This is a must-win game for Penn (12-7, 0-3), who have to go to Brown/Yale next weekend. The Quakers were sloppy on offense and weak on defense their year-long problems of missed layups and foul shots came back to haunt them against Cornell. The only bright spot was the second half re-emergence on offense of freshman Michael Wang and the continued 3-point shooting of freshman Bryce Washington. Columbia (6-11, 1-2) continues to have trouble scoring and Penn can usually put up points.
Pick: Penn EVEN Over Columbia and OVER 134.
