NCAAB: Monday Teaser, with few options, looks to Bison and Texas

There are not a lot of games on the roster tonight so we’re stretching our powers of prognostication and heading to the MEAC and the Big 12. Maryland Eastern Shore -13 @ HOWARD (136.5), 7 pm. First up, we have a terrible Maryland Eastern Shore team. The UMES Hawks are 3-19 and two of those wins are against non-D1 schools. Statistically, they’re among the weakest teams on offense and defense and they’re missing one of their top scorers. Oh, and they lost to Howard (9-12) by 40 -- at home -- three weeks ago. I wouldn’t expect such a result again, even with the Bison playing on their home floor, but we’ll give Howard the Teaser 5 and at least expect them to win by double digits. We’ll pair that with TCU +5 @ TEXAS TECH (131), 9 pm. This should be a nasty battle between two possible top 25 teams who pride themselves on defense. According to Ken Pomeroy, TCU (15-4) is ranked 18th in defensive efficiency and Texas Tech (16-4) is numero uno. Anazingly, both teams already have three conference losses. Since the game could go either way, we’re going to bet on the dueling Ds, give the Teaser 5 to the O/U 131 and take the Under.
