4 NBA Playoff Player Props for Tuesday, May 7

Ready for NBA on TNT's doubleheader on Tuesday night? We got you! Check out our 4 NBA player props for May 7.

A pair of series-opening games take place Tuesday as the Cleveland Cavaliers travel north to face the Boston Celtics in the early primetime contest. Later, the Dallas Mavericks head to nearby Oklahoma City to face the top-seeded Thunder for the second-round matchup.

Last week, picks I made hit over 61 percent of the time. For the past month, that’s an incredible 64 percent of the picks I’ve made for NBA regular season and playoff contests.

Let’s keep the hot streak alive today as I reveal the top four NBA Playoff player prop bets for Tuesday, May 7 contests.

Donovan Mitchell UNDER 28.5 Points

The Cavaliers reached the second round in dramatic fashion, finishing off the Orlando Magic in a Game 7 at Cleveland on Sunday. In that game, Cavaliers point guard Donovan Mitchell was on point, scoring 39 points on 11-of-27 shots and a 15-of-17 performance from the free throw line.

While Cleveland needs Mitchell to keep the Boston series close, do not expect Mitchell to have a repeat of the final three games of the Orlando series tonight where the guard averaged 39 points per game.

Instead, bettors should take the under on this player prop bet as Mitchell has two playoff games under 20 points – both times in road contests against the Magic.

Luka Doncic UNDER 51.5 Pts + Reb + Ast

Dallas finished out the higher-seeded Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 at home on Saturday. In that game, Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving finished with 30 points to lead the team, slightly elevating his playoff scoring to 26.5 points per outing after the victory.

Now, the team will look to win over the young Oklahoma City Thunder in this second-round playoff series. Star guard Luka Doncic is averaging 29.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game to lead his team in all three categories.

While those are impressive totals, they fall short of his player prop bet for tonight’s game of 51.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists. Expect the guard to fall short tonight and not cover this combo prop bet.

Jayson Tatum OVER 8.5 Rebounds

After a six-day layoff, the Celtics resume their quest for another NBA championship tonight against Cleveland. Boston will continue to be without Kristaps Porzingis as the 7’ 2” center is predicted to be sidelined for the entire series. In his place, the Celtics turned to veteran center Al Horford, who gave the team serviceable minutes in place of the starter.

Boston will rely on small forward Jayson Tatum in this series against the Cavaliers. Tatum finished the regular season grabbing 8.1 rebounds per game.

But against Cleveland this year, the 6’ 8” forward recorded three double-figure rebounding efforts as he did in his team’s last two outings against Miami. Expect Tatum to cover this player prop bet Tuesday night.

Chet Holmgren OVER 8.5 Rebounds

The Thunder face one of the longest layoffs between games, having secured their playoff series over the New Orleans Pelicans eight days ago. Tonight, the team will enter the second-round series against Dallas with renewed confidence having swept their last opponent with ease to reach the Western Conference semifinals.

Look for Thunder forward Chet Holmgren to impress voters in this series as he attempts to secure the NBA Rookie of the Year award with another impressive showing.

In four games against the Mavericks this year, Holgren secured nine or more rebounds in three contests. Expect him to duplicate those efforts Tuesday against Dallas and cover this prop bet.
