NBA Best Bets and Player Prop Picks for Tuesday, April 9

The NBA returns to the sports betting spotlight on Tuesday with a massive 14-game slate.

After taking a night off, allowing the NCAAB championship to take center stage, the NBA returns with a monster 14-game slate on Tuesday. For most sports bettors, the NBA will be in the spotlight for the next three months as the regular season winds down and we move into the Playoffs.

Tonight's TNT doubleheader features four fan favorites with the Celtics at the Bucks tipping off at 7:30 PM and the Warriors at the Lakers at 10:30.

Given the size of this slate, it should come as no surprise that there is no shortage of big games. League Pass subscribers will get to enjoy Orlando at Houston, Sacramento at Oklahoma City, and the LA Clippers at Phoenix.

Best Bet: San Antonio Spurs (-4.5)

With such a big slate, it was no easy task to identify one best bet, but our team loves San Antonio in Memphis tonight. This game opened at 2.5 and has already moved to 4.5, so be sure to act quick to get the best line possible here.

We wrote about this last week, but the Grizzlies are almost out of players. If you pull the injury report for this game, there are 13 Memphis players listed as 'OUT'.

On the other side of this matchup, the Spurs have been playing their best basketball of the season. They are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games, Wemby has been dominant, and they've been hanging around in some tough matchups. Their last 5 games include outright wins against New Orleans and New York, and losses to Philadelphia, Denver, and Golden State by a combined 7 points.

In a much easier matchup here, we think San Antonio wins in Memphis and covers the 4.5-point spread.

Player Prop Picks for Tuesday Night

This Tuesday, look for Jalen Brunson and Steph Curry to continue to dominate the Bulls and Lakers respectively, while Collin Sexton should struggle to hit his PRA prop against Denver.

G Jalen Brunson (NYK): Over 7.5 AST

Brunson easily has the potential to finish with a double-double tonight against the Bulls, something he’s done in his two games against Chicago this season. Jalen is coming off a win against the Bucks where he dropped 43 and 8.

While we expect Chicago to hold Brunson off the 40-point line, expect the Knicks’ improved role shooters to supply Brunson with double-digit assists today as New York looks to maintain home-court advantage in the East.

G Stephen Curry (GSW): Over 26.5 Points

Curry’s last six games against the Lakers have seen him go over in each contest, destroying LA from beyond the arc and in the paint. With the Lakers and Warriors battling for play-in positioning and a potential preview of the play-in matchup tonight, expect the coaching from Kerr and shotmaking from Curry to take over in a high-scoring game.

F Franz Wagner (ORL): Under 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

With the Magic slowly climbing up the Eastern Conference standings, Wagner has been a solid playmaker this season but might struggle to find success against a lanky Houston team today.

Wagner didn’t hit this PRA mark in their first matchup this season, and with the Rockets allowing just 110.8 PPG at home this season, we expect a low-scoring contest that isn’t dominated by any one player on Orlando. Franz has averaged just 16.6 PPG post-All-Star break.

G Collin Sexton (UTA): Under 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

After playing 33 minutes per game in March, it looks like the Jazz are leaning off Sexton as the season winds down after a solid stretch of play from the energetic guard.

With Utah looking to their trio of rookies including George, Sensabaugh, and Hendricks to man the offense, expect Sexton to play around 20 minutes in what could be a blowout against a Nuggets team fighting for 1st place out West.
